COLD FEET: MEET THE ARTIST

Our new collab comes with an artist whose work feels like a dream and a glitch at the same time. Coldf33t, born and raised in London, has been making things non-stop since day one: drawing, music, clothes.
For this collab, their chaotic, colourful world is printed across five limited edition pieces: one oversized hoodie, a long-sleeve top, and three accessories - a scarf and beanies in black and grey. A small capsule, but packed with detail.
We caught up with Coldf33t to talk about what fuels the work, and how London nights.

Minga x Coldf33t: The Interview

Minga: What does “Cold Feet” mean to you as an artist name?

Coldf33t: It was kind of an accident. I made an account in 2020 to post random bits. I liked how “coldf33t” felt — kind of like a random username, but also that feeling of pulling back last minute. It made sense.

Minga: How would you describe your style in three words?

Coldf33t: Chaotic, dreamscape, colourful.

Minga: How did the collab with Minga London come about?

Coldf33t: I’d followed you for a while. We first connected a couple years ago, then circled back last year when it felt right.

Minga: What made you excited about putting your art onto clothing instead of a canvas?

Coldf33t: Clothes are universal. Everyone takes part in it, even if they don’t think they do. I feel it’s the easiest way for me to share art and I enjoy it the most.

Minga: What inspired the designs for this drop?

Coldf33t: I drew a lot of these graphics last winter. They remind me of the cold weather we get in London, so I think that was an inspiration.

Minga: Who or what influences your work the most right now?

Coldf33t: Music has always been a big influence. Yung Lean + Drain Gang when I was younger played a big role. Going to underground London shows as a teenager in the 2010s shaped a lot for me.

Minga: Is there a message behind the graphics?

Coldf33t: There are hidden skulls in some of the graphics; but I guess the hidden messages are different to different people. I want everyone to see different things when they look at my work.

Minga: What do you want people to feel when they wear a Coldf33t x Minga piece?

Coldf33t: Cool + happy. That’s it.

Minga: What’s the weirdest or funniest reaction you’ve ever gotten to your work?

Coldf33t: Most people assume I am a guy, so when I introduce myself IRL they can be very surprised.

Minga: What’s next for you after this collab? Any dream projects or collabs?

Coldf33t: Working with other artists + brands, but also expanding into designing more of my own pieces. I am planning to go to Japan soon which has always been a dream of mine.
